The House and The Ministry

Well, God is faithful! So faithful! We have been on the search for a home to rent that was reasonable and affordable. We believed for a home that would be cheaper than our apartment....guess what....God is faithful! We found a 3 year old 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home with a fenced in yard, a fireplace and a laundry room for CHEAPER than our breadbox apartment! Woot Woot!!!! OK, so I've attached some pictures....ok I've attached a lot of pictures but I still left some off.....but I just have to shout it! WOOT WOOT! Thank you everyone for our prayers! God is faithful. It hasn't been easy and at times has been REALLY tough, but God is faithful.

Our first sunday service will be December 21 at Golden Valley Middle School. Then we have Christmas break and launch our "official launch date" on Sunday, January 11th. We are believing for a hundred people on the 21st so pray and believe with us! We canvased our apartment complex last saturday and passed out cookies with a note saying Happy Thanksgiving. We will be doing it again before our Christmas Service. Pray Pray Pray! We love everyone and miss everyone dearly. Again I've attached our flyers and handouts. Just want everyone to see how we are doing what we are doing and that we can't do it without YOU! Love to all and HAPPY THANKSGIVING! We will see everyone after Christmas!

Session 08 Outreach

This is the video of the skaters at Blair Skate Park. They are amazing.

Session 08 Outreach

Well, we had our end of the summer outreach at the Blair Skate Park and it was nothing short of amazing! We had between 150 and 200 teenagers show up for the event. We gave away skateboarding equip as well as posters and stickers from a local skate shop. We also had a video made for the teenagers. A professional video guy came from Sarah's school and took footage of the teenagers and then made a video featuring the teens. They loved it. We gave away 2 complete skateboards (meaning it wasn't just the board it had the trucks and wheels too). It was awesome. There was a best trick competition...I mean these guys are amazing! Amazing. After all the festivities, Evan asked them to give him 5 minutes of their attention...and they did!!! Evan told them of God's love for them and that they could receive his love. When he asked who was ready to ask Jesus into their hearts, at least 75-80 raised their hands. It was amazing. The picutres below do not do justice because there are so many teens you can't see in the pictures because it was so dark. We gave away 100 bibles and 75 discipleship packets. God is amazing. Thank you to everyone who holds us up in prayer and for all the support! We could NEVER do this without you guys. We love you and are humbled by our part in Gods plan!

It's Time for the Family Feud

Well, another new experience here in good ole California. Kristen Seyferth is here visiting and so Sarah and I took her out to Hollywood and Beverly Hills for the "tour." It usually starts with In-N-Out Burger, followed by the best cupcakes in the world and then off to Hollywood. Well, we started with the burgers, which were awesome! Then we decided that we were too full for cupcakes so we knew we would get them later. We then hit Hollywood and were able to walk into Ashley Paige's store. They were having a pet adoption there and Sarah was interested in adpoting a dog. No dog. The swimsuits were, well, lets just say that Sarah touched one and said it was about to fall apart..,...hmmm. Well, then we were hitting the Stars Walk when we were asked if we wanted to be a part of the studio audience for the Family Feud. HECK YEAH we said. So we jetted off to Eagle Rock to get some cupcakes.....we walked in the front door at 4:04 pm only to find that they closed at 4:00. We begged to just get cupcakes and we were DENIED! I'm only willing to let that slide because of how good the cupcakes are....so yes, I will be back! BUT, Kristen was bummed.....we had to ultimately remind her that everyone who has come has had cupcakes, until now, HOWEVER, not everyone who has come has been a part of The Family Feud!!!! Yeah baby! We went in, clapped our hands off, yelled like champs...things like "good answer". It was hilarious! We even got to see Judge Judy's court room.....by the way, FAKE! It's all so fake. The Family Feud's set....TINY! AND, they give the audience members signs to hold to "root" for the families! It's all a facade! So, no cupcakes for Kristen.....YET, but she got to see Mr. Peterman from Seinfeld up close and personal! So what you think of that. When I told Lisa that we were on the show her response was, "I didn't know that show was still on, let alone that they still had live studio audiences!" How appropriate! But, check it out, you just might catch a glimpse of Sarah, Kristen and/or myself. We are destined! ahahahahahha. Love everyone!

Outreach Posting

We did our outreach last night and I remembered to bring my camera, so I thought I'd post some pictures here for everyone to get an idea of where we are and what it looks like. These guys are amazing. We are getting to know them one by one by their first names. They are really open to us and often come up to us and ask about what we are doing.
